Pipelines

Watch a social account, a public URL, or a folder on your machine, and turn each new post or file into drafts or scheduled posts for the channels you choose.

Content Machine -> Pipelines runs a campaign for you whenever new source material appears. Each pipeline belongs to the active project and checks its source on a schedule. It writes pieces for the channels you pick, then saves them as drafts or schedules them.

The working tabs are Social, Directories (folder watch), and Logs. SEO and AI search are locked and not available yet.

Creating a Pipeline

  1. Open Social or Directories and click New pipeline.
  2. Work through the tabs in Configure pipeline.
  3. Click Save draft to keep it paused, or Save & activate to turn it on.

Each pipeline is a row marked Live or Paused. Expand a row to see its graph and the Configure, Run now, and Pause buttons. Click a graph node to open that settings tab. Run now saves the pipeline and checks the source right away, even when it is paused. Deleting a pipeline keeps its generated content and run logs.

Social Repurpose

The Source tab has two modes:

  • Connected account reads posts through the channel's API. It works with Facebook Pages, X, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, TikTok, Bluesky, and Mastodon, once the channel is connected in Channels. LinkedIn and LinkedIn Page show Approval required.
  • Watch URL reads a public profile or post page instead. Use it for a personal Facebook profile or LinkedIn without read approval. Private or login-walled pages will not work.

In either mode, click Load recent posts and mark the milestone: the newest post you have already handled. That post and anything older count as done. Only newer posts trigger the pipeline, and you cannot save until a milestone is set. Check for new content can be anything from Every hour to Every week.

Transform sets one Language, Content detail (Concise, Balanced, Detailed), and Output format (Plain text, Markdown, HTML) for every destination. Posts with no text are skipped. Images and video from a source post are downloaded and attached to the new pieces.

Folder Watch

The Directories tab watches folders on this machine. Its config tabs are Folders, File types, Transform, Destinations, and Delivery.

On Folders, click Add folder and choose whether to Include subfolders. Under How new files become posts, pick one:

  • Every file is a post makes each matching file its own campaign.
  • Every subfolder is a post bundles each subfolder into one campaign. Text files become the brief, and images and video are attached. Loose files in the watched folder are still one post each. A subfolder posts only once, so finish copying into it before the next check.

Ignore files that are already there is on by default, so only files added after you save trigger runs. Turn it off for a first test run. Preview shows which files match and how many posts they will make.

On File types, pick Markdown, Text & data, Images, or Video. You can also list your own under Other extensions, which are read as plain text. Notes for the writer goes into every brief. For an image or video, the brief is built from the file name, your notes, and any .md or .txt file with the same name next to it. That file is not posted separately. Media is copied into app storage, so you can move the original without breaking a scheduled post.

A file is only picked up after it has gone about 30 seconds without changing. A subfolder waits for all of its files.

Per-channel Overrides

In a folder pipeline, each selected destination shows a summary strip such as EN · Plain text · Balanced. Click it to set Language (one or more), Output format, and Detail level for that channel only. Use pipeline default resets a field.

Known issue in 1.3.0 through 1.5.1: these overrides are not kept when you save, so every destination uses the pipeline defaults. If a channel needs different settings, give it its own pipeline for now.

Delivery

  • Save as drafts saves every piece to the Library for review. Nothing is published.
  • Auto-schedule adds each piece to the Content Calendar. Schedule the first piece sets a delay of 30 minutes to 1 day, and each piece after that goes out 15 minutes later. Scheduled pieces publish without further review. If a destination is not connected yet, you'll see a warning with an Open Channels button.

When Pipelines Run

While 1MarketingTool is open, it checks for due Live pipelines every 15 minutes. If a check came due while the app was closed or the computer was asleep, it runs when you next open the app or wake the computer. Each run takes up to five new posts, files, or subfolders, oldest first. The rest wait for the next check.

Logs

Logs lists every manual and scheduled run of both pipeline types, including runs that found nothing and runs that failed with an error. Runs that produced content have two buttons. Campaign opens the generated campaign. Distribution opens Distribution History filtered to that pipeline, where each generated piece carries a Pipeline badge.
