Signalify

Find posts where people ask for what you sell on Reddit, X, LinkedIn, Hacker News and more, score them, and draft replies you post yourself.

Signalify listens for your project's keywords across communities and collects the posts worth answering: someone asking for a recommendation, a question your product solves, a complaint about a tool you replace. Open it from Community → Signalify in the sidebar.

Every project has its own setup and its own inbox. Signalify never posts anything for you. It finds the thread, explains why it matters, and drafts a reply you can edit and post yourself.

Set Up What to Listen For

Open the Setup tab with the right project selected.

  • Listen for takes one phrase per line: the words buyers type when they are looking, such as problems, use cases, and "alternative to ..." searches. If the project has competitors saved, Signalify suggests "name alternative" lines.
  • Exclude posts mentioning drops any post containing these terms, such as job ads or an unrelated meaning of your keyword.
  • Where to listen has a switch for each platform: Reddit, X, LinkedIn, Hacker News, Quora, Stack Overflow, Indie Hackers, Product Hunt, Facebook, Threads, YouTube and forums.
  • Other communities takes extra domains to watch, one per line.
  • Minimum intent score keeps signals below that score out of the inbox.
  • Only questions, recommendation requests and complaints skips general discussion threads.
  • Listen for project name pauses or resumes collection for this project.

Click Save Listening Settings when you are done.

Collect Signals

Signals arrive two ways.

Scan Now runs an on-demand search. Hacker News, Stack Overflow and Reddit are searched through their public APIs, with no key needed. The browser extension also searches Reddit, X, LinkedIn and Quora in background tabs, using the accounts you are already signed in to.

Capture automatically while I browse saves matching posts on enabled sites as you scroll. The extension checks your keywords inside the tab, so posts that do not match never leave the page.

Install the Browser Extension

  1. On the Setup tab, click Export the extension folder. Since 1.4.0 you can choose any folder for it; the app keeps the files updated on every launch and remembers the location in backups.
  2. Open the extensions page in Chrome, Brave or Edge and turn on Developer mode.
  3. Choose Load unpacked and pick the folder.

Until it is loaded, the Setup tab shows Extension not connected, and Scan Now uses only the public APIs.

Work the Inbox

The Inbox tab lists signals for the active project. Switch between Open, Saved, Replied, Dismissed and All, search posts, authors and communities, and filter by platform, intent and score.

Each signal has a score from 0 to 100. Open it to see Why it scored, in plain words:

  • Matches your keyword, and Keyword in the title
  • Asking for recommendations, Asking a question, or Frustrated with a current option
  • Posted time ago, since fresh threads are still being read
  • No replies yet or Only N replies, since an answer in a quiet thread gets noticed
  • N upvotes
  • Mentions a competitor

A signal that scores 80 or more raises a New signal alert, so a hot thread does not wait for your next visit.

Use Save to keep a signal for later, Dismiss to hide it, and Restore or Reopen to bring it back. The trash button deletes it.

Draft and Post a Reply

The inspector shows the full post, its author, community and age, with Open Thread to view it on the site.

  1. Optionally type an Angle, for example "mention the free tier" or "don't mention the product".
  2. Click Draft with AI. The reply is written from the project's product information by the AI you set up in API keys and AI CLIs. Click Regenerate for another take, or edit the text directly.
  3. Click Copy & Open Thread to copy the reply and open the post, then paste it and post it yourself.
  4. Click Mark Replied to move the signal out of the Open list. Save Draft keeps an unfinished reply.

Drafts follow a few rules: answer the question first, name your product at most once and only when it fits, disclose that you work on it, and stay between 60 and 170 words (under 270 characters on X). Replies are never posted automatically.

Track People

The People tab collects the authors behind your signals. Filter them by status, mark promising ones Shortlisted, draft an outreach message with Draft with AI, and use Copy & Mark Contacted once you have sent it.
