Visibility Confidence Ranges

A tracker can ask each term up to five times per run, and the Engines tab reports every engine's visibility with a 95% range beside it. A move smaller than that range is sampling noise, and the table says so instead of letting you read it as a trend.

Visibility Confidence Ranges

Why you need this

How it changes your marketing workflow

AI answers are not deterministic — ask the same question twice and the brands named can change. That makes a single sample per term a coin flip dressed up as a metric, and a 12% to 18% “improvement” built on one answer each week is a story you told yourself. Sampling several times and carrying the error bar is what separates a real visibility move from the model having a different morning.

How it works

From open to result in a few steps

1
1

Set Samples per term

Choose 1 (cheapest), 3 (enough to see run-to-run variance), or 5 (tightest variance band) in the tracker settings.

2
2

Open the Engines tab

Each engine gets a row: visibility, the 95% range, detection, citations and samples per term.

3
3

Compare the move against the range

A change inside the interval is noise. Only a move larger than the band is evidence of a real shift.

4
4

Check the Evidence tab for the raw answers

Every stored sample for the period, with the engine, the route that fetched it, the model that wrote it, and which sample it was.

Without 1MarketingTool

The old, fragmented way vs. one local app

The hard way

# visibility went 12% → 18%
- one answer per term
- no error bar
- celebrate
# it was noise

The 1MarketingTool way

Engines tab
→ 5 samples per term
→ 95% range on every row
→ inside the band = noise
# a number you can defend

Key capabilities

Everything included with Visibility Confidence Ranges

Sample each term 1, 3 or 5 times per run
95% Wilson interval on every engine's detection rate
Engines tab comparing visibility, range, detection and citations side by side
Evidence tab listing every stored sample with engine, route, model and sample index
A single-sample tracker is flagged as such rather than reported as precise
By engine section in the shareable HTML report carries the same ranges
Engine gap alert when you are visible in one engine and absent from another

Why it matters

The payoff of having ai search optimization built into your workspace

Tells noise from signal

The error bar is printed next to the number, so a move inside it never reads as progress.

Built for small samples

A Wilson interval stays honest at small n and near 0% or 100%, exactly where AI visibility numbers live.

Every number is auditable

Evidence keeps the raw answers, so you can read what the model actually said behind any figure.

Shareable without losing the caveat

The HTML report carries the ranges too, so a client sees the confidence, not just the headline.
