Per-Channel Output Format

Choose whether each channel in a campaign generates Markdown, plain text, or HTML — each starting from a sensible suggestion, so a WordPress article arrives as HTML while the same campaign's social posts arrive as clean plain text.

Why you need this

How it changes your marketing workflow

One campaign feeds channels that disagree about syntax. WordPress and Ghost want HTML, Discord and Reddit want Markdown, and a social post wants neither — asterisks and pound signs pasted into X read as noise. Generating everything in one format means hand-cleaning the ones that do not match. Setting the format per channel means every piece arrives ready to publish.

How it works

From open to result in a few steps

1
1

Open a channel's settings in the campaign

Each selected channel in New Campaign has its own settings panel covering language and output format for that channel's generated pieces.

2
2

Take the suggestion or override it

Each channel starts on a suggested format — HTML for WordPress and Ghost, Markdown for Discord and Reddit, plain text for social — marked SUGGESTED so you know what the default assumes.

3
3

Pick the delivery syntax

Markdown gives headings, lists and links. Plain text gives unformatted copy ready to paste or publish. HTML gives semantic markup without a document wrapper.

4
4

Generate once, publish everywhere

Each channel's pieces come out in its own syntax, so nothing needs reformatting between generation and publishing.

Without 1MarketingTool

The old, fragmented way vs. one local app

The hard way

One format for the whole campaign
Strip Markdown out of social posts by hand
Paste plain text into WordPress and lose the structure
Reformat every piece between generating and publishing

The 1MarketingTool way

Each channel generates in its own syntax: Markdown, plain text, or HTML
Suggested defaults match the platform — HTML for WordPress, Markdown for Discord
Semantic HTML for CMS channels, clean copy for social
Pieces arrive ready to publish with no reformatting

Key capabilities

Everything included with Per-Channel Output Format

Set Markdown, plain text, or HTML per channel in a campaign
Start from a suggested format that matches the channel's platform
Get semantic HTML without a document wrapper for CMS channels
Get unformatted copy ready to paste for social channels
Combine output format with per-channel and per-account language
Apply the same controls when adding channels to an existing campaign

Why it matters

The payoff of having content machine built into your workspace

Nothing needs reformatting

Each channel's pieces arrive in the syntax that channel actually publishes, so generation is the last step.

No stray Markdown in social posts

Plain text for social means asterisks and pound signs never make it into a live post.

Sensible defaults you can ignore

Suggested formats are right most of the time, so the control is there when you need it and invisible when you do not.
